A CATCH-UP over a coffee is something we enjoy doing with our mums.
And as Mother’s Day approaches coffee house customers can say how much they appreciate their mums while raising money for charity at the same time.
Yesterday, a fundraising initiative for Suffolk Breakthrough Breast Cancer called Mums the Word was launched at three coffee shops across Suffolk: The Coffee House in Lawson Place, Moreton Hall, Bury St Edmunds, Wild Strawberry in Market Hill, Woodbridge, and Saints in St Peter’s Street, Ipswich.
Customers can donate £1 to have a handwritten message from the heart displayed in the shops.
Penny White, a volunteer fundraiser for Suffolk Breakthrough, said she came up with the idea in The Coffee House.
