Over 120 ladies and gents walked the 13 and 7 mile walk down the beach, through Aldeburgh High Street, to Aldringham, Sizewell and then back to Thorpeness.
Local businesses and supporters were incredibly generous with their raffle donations, as were the participants on the walk.
We raised £3,400 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer – an amazing amount!
Huge thanks go to all the helpers, ribboners, first aiders and raffle ticket sellers (you know who you are), who help every year on the walk. Thank you too to Thorpeness Country Club, Woodbridge Cake Shop and Piper Gilmour who gave all the participants ice packs which were included in their goody bags. Let’s hope none were needed!
Details about next year’s walk will be released in the new year but in the meantime, cast your eyes over the great publicity the EADT have given Suffolk Breakthrough and the Walk on the Wildside – Thanks guys!
